R.A.L.E. View is a freeware program that allows you to view, analyze and play respiratory audio files. Please go to the Quick Start Guide for instructions on how to use it. First, you must load a file. Press the Select File button to select a R.A.L.E. recording. Next, Press the Play button to start the recording and Press the Stop button to stop the recording. When the recording is finished, data will be available on the bottom of the screen:

The volume of the R.A.L.E. file is calculated as a percentage of maximum volume. With R.A.L.E., air flow is always generated regardless of microphone settings. R.A.L.E. View will play any file you have loaded into its memory. Because R.A.L.E. View is not a sound card, you can select a file to play by clicking on it or dragging it into the R.A.L.E. View window. The first file to be played will be the last file you selected. You can change the volume using the Volume slider. These settings will be remembered the next time you open the program. If you wish to save the settings permanently, right click on the Volume slider and select Save Settings.
R.A.L.E. View Features:
The R.A.L.E. View main window is divided into 4 sections: The first section contains air flow data (bottom of screen) The second contains the R.A.L.E. audio data and all other settings (top of screen). The third section contains your recording as it was played. The fourth section contains information about the recording that is displayed on the screen. Information is available on the following data items:
· Time in milliseconds since start
· Volume calculated as a percentage of maximum
· Number of breaths/time
· Time between breaths/time
· Time after breath(s)/time
· Air flow measured (number of breaths/second)
NOTE: If you have more than one recorded file, the recordings will be added to the recordings section in order. If you have more than one recording, you must open the program to see what recordings are loaded.
