If you don’t need the Aero Snap feature then you’re probably better off with Windows XP, it works just fine with all the features of window manager, sort windows, grid sizing etc. I haven’t tried to open multiple windows at once with this.
However I did open dozens and the window manager always would snap one window to the side, even though I had not enabled that option.

Best thing is that it is free to use, the only thing you have to do is download it and then extract the files.
